PROJECT SUMMARY

The client came to Sperling Build with the vision of expanding into their compact rear garden to create a courtyard-style area, which would be fully designed at a later phase. Our goal was to follow the brief of achieving a distinctive rustic aesthetic for the extension. To accomplish this, we sourced reclaimed timber from an old boat and used it to form a cladded feature wall that, once treated, gave a truly stunning appearance. This was paired with a large bi-fold door opening that blended the interior with the garden space.

The kitchen was noticeably enlarged, and the client took advantage of the newly available space to set up a peaceful dining zone, adding a sofa to host guests comfortably. The rear patio was also upgraded, giving the client extra outdoor room—perfect for a barbecue area or al fresco dining.
