PROJECT SUMMARY

This rear extension features Staffordshire Blue Bricks, known for their distinctive blue-grey tone that adds a touch of elegance to the design. These bricks have become increasingly popular across Sperling Build projects, as more clients are choosing them over the traditional London Clay bricks.

The brickwork pairs beautifully with aluminium-framed doors, skylights, and windows—each grey element complementing the other while achieving a cohesive, modern look. Enhancing the exterior further is a newly installed granite patio, crafted from polished, locally sourced granite slabs, alongside a sleek zinc-tiled roof and aluminium downpipes and guttering.

Indoors, the exposed steel beams introduce an industrial ‘New York loft’ vibe, while skylights invite generous amounts of natural light, creating a bright and inviting space. The project involved significant custom joinery, including tailor-made cupboards and a new built-in dining bench made from Class A Plywood, along with updated skirting boards. All surfaces—walls, ceilings, and skirting—were meticulously filled, sanded, and primed before being freshly painted.
